Silent Trek
“Experience Nature, Explore With-in”. Experience the external nature to explore the internal nature. Yoga practice is just not confined to the practice of Asanas for an hour under the roof! As one of the great Yogi Vanda Scaravelli rightly puts it, Yoga is a living process that changes moment by moment, watching when we eat, how we eat, when we walk, how we walk etc. All these things must be present in us and we must be passionately interested in them all. Trekking is one another way to introspectively experience Self.
Silent trek – was a brainchild that arose out of a combination of Vinay’s experiences in mountaineering and yoga. We will be going to some trekking places near Bangalore, mostly in the Western Ghats for two days over the weekend or to some trekking places in Bangalore for one day during the weekend. As the name suggests, the trek is silent (minimal talking). One breaks the silence at the end of the journey only. Places chosen to trek are safe, and are neither commercial nor densely crowded. Each participant carries out a responsibility and such active involvement makes the trekking experiencing a wholesome one.
